Description
This red chasuble is centered on a broad decorative panel with a large gold-colored embroidered cross. The cross has gently flared arms and small circular accents, while gold-colored trim frames the neckline and gives the upper section a defined finish. A matching inner stole is included.
Gold cross and central panel
The vertical panel organizes the front of the vestment and creates a clear visual axis. Its red tone remains closely related to the main body of the chasuble, while the gold-colored embroidery and trim provide contrast. Nine photographs show the complete vestment, the front and back, close views of the cross and neckline, the surface of the garment, and the way the chasuble falls when worn.
Liturgical use
In the Roman liturgy, red is associated with the Passion of Christ, the fire of the Holy Spirit and the witness of martyrs. It is used for Palm Sunday, Good Friday, Pentecost and specified celebrations of apostles, evangelists and martyrs. The calendar and rubrics of the particular celebration should always determine the color. The embroidered cross and restrained central arrangement support this liturgical meaning without replacing those rules.
Choosing the chasuble
Compare the measurement in the final table with a chasuble that already fits comfortably in the sacristy. Review the full-length and worn photographs to judge the overall fall, shoulder coverage and scale of the decorative panel. The close-up images make it easier to assess the proportions of the cross, the circular accents and the finish around the neckline before ordering.
Wearing and storage
Wear the chasuble over the alb and stole, arranging it symmetrically on the shoulders before entering the sanctuary. Smooth the central panel so that the cross lies flat and check that the neckline is not folded or compressed. After the celebration, allow the garment to dry fully before placing it on a broad hanger that supports the shoulders.
Store the chasuble in a dry, ventilated wardrobe, protected from strong light and moisture. Leave enough space so that other garments do not press against the embroidery or decorative trim. Follow the supplied care label for cleaning and ironing, and protect the ornamented areas from excessive heat and pressure.
