Description
Gold and blue embroidery gives this Marian chasuble its distinctive character. The Marian motif is worked on smooth fabric, with gold satin binding completing the edge. The combination brings the embroidered decoration and the outline of the vestment together without introducing a patterned ground. Choose either ecru or white using the color selector; both belong to the same model.
Design and construction
A roll collar completes the neckline, and an inner stole is included with the chasuble. The edging, collar and embroidery are separate details to consider when matching the vestment to the other textiles in a sacristy. The size is listed in the specification table below in both centimeters and inches.
Use and care
The chasuble is worn over the alb and stole for the celebration of Mass. Arrange the front and back evenly, leaving the fabric and decoration to fall freely. Choose the liturgical color according to the calendar and the applicable rubrics; the Marian motif does not by itself determine which vestment may be worn on a particular day.
Before first use, check the seams, edges and position of the embroidery, then try the chasuble with the alb and stole that will be worn underneath. Follow the garment’s care label for cleaning and ironing. Store it on a suitably broad hanger, keeping the embroidered areas free from heavy objects and tight folds.
