The Flame of Love of the Immaculate Heart of Mary
The Flame of Love is a modern Catholic devotional movement associated with the spiritual diary of Elizabeth Kindelmann, a Hungarian laywoman and Secular Carmelite. The diary received an imprimatur and the movement was established as a private association of the faithful in the Archdiocese of Esztergom-Budapest in 2009. Its language belongs to private devotion and should be understood in harmony with Scripture, the sacraments, and the Church’s public worship, which remain primary.
Bowed head, ring of stars, crossed hands, and radiant heart
Mary is shown with her head bowed and hands crossed over a brilliant light at her heart. A ring of stars surrounds the halo, recalling the woman crowned with twelve stars in Revelation 12 and a familiar Marian symbol. The luminous heart identifies the Flame of Love theme and visually joins interior prayer, maternal love, and attention to Christ. The image does not depict an apparition scene; it is a symbolic devotional portrait.
