Several early Christian martyrs bear the name Victor, including soldier saints associated with Damascus, Milan, and Marseille. The product inscription gives only "Saint Victor," so the image should not be assigned to one local biography without further evidence. Its military iconography corresponds especially well to the widespread tradition of Victor as a Roman soldier who refused to renounce Christian faith under persecution.

The saint stands in Roman-style armor with a spear and a large shield. These are conventional attributes of a soldier martyr.
