Description

This red chasuble features a printed PAX inscription as its central decorative theme. The Latin word for peace gives the design a direct Christian reference, while gold-colored trim defines the finish. A matching inner stole is included.

PAX print and decorative finish

The PAX motif is presented as a printed decoration on the red ground. Thirteen photographs show the complete chasuble, the front and back, the neckline, the PAX symbol, the garment surface, additional product views and the way the vestment falls when worn. The extended gallery makes it possible to assess the scale, placement and finish of the design before ordering.

Liturgical use

In the Roman liturgy, red is associated with the Passion of Christ, the fire of the Holy Spirit and the witness of martyrs. It is used on Palm Sunday, Good Friday, Pentecost and specified celebrations of apostles, evangelists and martyrs. The calendar and rubrics of the particular celebration should always determine the color. The PAX inscription adds a message of peace without changing those liturgical rules.

Choosing the chasuble

Compare the measurement in the final table with a chasuble that already fits comfortably in the sacristy. Review the full-length and worn photographs to judge the overall fall, shoulder coverage and position of the PAX design. The close views help assess the neckline finish, the gold-colored trim and the relationship between the printed motif and the red ground.

Wearing and storage

Wear the chasuble over the alb and stole, arranging it symmetrically on the shoulders before entering the sanctuary. Smooth the decorated section so that the PAX motif lies flat and remains centered. After the celebration, allow the garment to dry fully before placing it on a broad hanger that supports the shoulders.

Store the chasuble in a dry, ventilated wardrobe, protected from strong light and moisture. Leave enough space so that other garments do not press against the printed decoration, trim or neckline. Follow the supplied care label for cleaning and ironing, and avoid excessive heat or pressure on the decorated areas.
