Description
This red chasuble is distinguished by a vertical arrangement of gold-colored embroidered crosses. The repeated cross motif creates a clear central rhythm while preserving the strong liturgical character of the red background. A matching inner stole is included.
Gold-colored cross embroidery
The decoration is worked as a series of crosses in gold-colored embroidery. The motif guides the eye along the front of the vestment and remains legible both at close range and from within the church. Seven photographs show the complete chasuble, the front and back, the neckline finish and close views of the embroidery so that the proportions and workmanship can be assessed before ordering.
Liturgical use
In the Roman liturgy, red is associated with the Passion of Christ, the fire of the Holy Spirit and the witness of martyrs. It is used on Palm Sunday, Good Friday, Pentecost and specified celebrations of apostles, evangelists and martyrs. The calendar and rubrics of the particular celebration should always determine the color. The repeated cross motif supports this liturgical meaning without replacing those rules.
Choosing the chasuble
Compare the measurement in the final table with a chasuble that already fits comfortably in the sacristy. Review the full-length photographs to judge the overall fall, shoulder coverage and position of the embroidered decoration. The close-up images make it easier to inspect the edges of the crosses, the relationship between the gold-colored thread and the red ground, and the finish around the neckline.
Wearing and storage
Wear the chasuble over the alb and stole, arranging it symmetrically on the shoulders before entering the sanctuary. Smooth the embroidered section so that the crosses lie flat and check that the neckline is not folded or compressed. After the celebration, allow the garment to dry fully before placing it on a broad hanger that supports the shoulders.
Store the chasuble in a dry, ventilated wardrobe, protected from strong light and moisture. Leave enough space so that other garments do not press against the embroidery or neckline. Follow the supplied care label for cleaning and ironing, and protect the decorated areas from excessive heat and pressure.
