Liturgical use for Gaudete and Laetare

Pink is the liturgical colour associated with restrained joy and may be used on Gaudete Sunday in Advent and Laetare Sunday in Lent where the applicable norms permit it. This chasuble is intended for the celebration of the Eucharist on those occasions.

Design and construction

The design uses ornamental gold-coloured cross on a velvet panel against the pink ground. The gallery is the reference for the exact placement, colour contrast and proportions of the decoration; no unsupported claim about handwork or fibre has been added.

Fit, handling and care

Before the liturgy, centre the chasuble over the alb and stole and check freedom of movement. After use, air it and hang it on a broad hanger in a dry, ventilated place. Follow the care label and protect the embroidery and trim from heat, moisture and pressure.
