Description
Gold Brocade Chasuble with Woven Panel – Design II
Design II combines a gold brocade chasuble with a decorative woven panel and gold edging. The panel is the main feature of the composition, giving the priest’s outer vestment a clear, ordered appearance during Mass. This model is supplied as a chasuble and inner stole set; the product photograph identifies its particular woven design.
Gold for solemn celebrations
The gold color and decorative panel give the vestment a festive character. Its use should be considered in relation to the liturgical calendar, the celebration and the practice of the local community. Gold is associated with especially solemn occasions, including major Christmas and Easter celebrations where the applicable liturgical norms permit its use. Choose the vestment for the actual service rather than treating color alone as a guide to every occasion.
Light brocade and a woven panel
The fabric is lightweight brocade made from polyester. A woven panel defines the central line of the composition, setting this model apart from a plain gold chasuble. Look at the photograph both for the details of the weaving and for the overall balance of the decoration against the gold background. The full view is useful when comparing the placement of the panel with the collar and the fall of the sides. The edges are finished with gold brocade edging.
Fit, collar and included stole
The roll collar forms the neckline and should sit freely over the alb. Before ordering, compare the length and width in the specification table with a chasuble that fits the celebrant well. Consider shoulder position and the way the sides hang, as well as the wearer’s height. An inner stole is supplied with the garment for wear beneath it, allowing the chasuble and stole to be selected together.
Care in the sacristy
After use, allow the garment to dry and air before putting it away. Support the shoulders on a suitably wide hanger and leave enough space around the vestment so the woven panel is not compressed by other garments. Protect the fabric from rubbing, snagging and sharp folds. Follow the care label for cleaning, ironing and freshening; the appearance of the brocade alone does not establish a safe temperature or cleaning method.
