Christ Pantocrator with the Gospel — divine authority revealed as truth and mercy

Pantocrator means “Ruler of All.” This ancient Christian image confesses that Jesus Christ, crucified and risen, is Lord of creation and the living Word through whom the Father is made known. His kingship is not modeled on worldly force: the open Gospel and the gesture of blessing unite authority with teaching, judgment with mercy, and majesty with personal encounter.

Iconography and theological meaning

Christ holds an ornamented Gospel book in his left hand and raises his right hand in the traditional blessing gesture. The cross inscribed in the halo identifies the incarnate Son, while the frontal gaze addresses the viewer directly. The luminous gold-toned field removes the figure from an ordinary landscape and signifies the light of God’s kingdom.

For prayer and Christian devotion

A Pantocrator icon belongs naturally in a home altar, chapel, study, parish room, or place of Scripture reading. It supports prayer for wisdom, fidelity to the Gospel, a well-formed conscience, and trust in Christ’s merciful judgment.

Crafted on linden wood in Poland

The image is printed directly on a double-primed linden wood panel and finished with decorative gold-tone schlagmetal. Made to order in Poland, it includes a metal wall hanger and a certificate marked with the year of production.
