Jesus Christ Pantocrator — ruler of all and teacher of the Gospel

Pantocrator, a Greek title meaning “Ruler of All,” is one of Christianity’s most important images of Christ. It confesses that the crucified and risen Jesus is Lord, judge, and merciful Savior. The icon does not present worldly domination; it shows divine authority united with truth, blessing, and the revealed Word.

Iconography and theological meaning

Christ raises his right hand in the traditional gesture of blessing and holds an open Gospel in the other. The book bears Slavic script and represents Christ teaching through the Scriptures. His cross-inscribed halo identifies the incarnate Son, while the direct, solemn gaze brings together justice and mercy. The gold-toned field signifies the uncreated light of God’s kingdom.

For prayer and Christian devotion

A Christ Pantocrator icon belongs naturally in a home altar, chapel, study, or parish room. It supports Scripture reading, examination of conscience, and prayer for wisdom, mercy, and fidelity to Christ’s teaching.

Crafted on linden wood in Poland

The image is printed directly on a double-primed linden wood panel and finished with decorative gold-tone schlagmetal. Made to order in Poland, the icon includes a metal wall hanger and a certificate marked with the year of production.
